What is home staging?

Home Staging is a technique used to quickly optimize the value of your property in the eyes of a buyer.

Staging professionals objectively evaluate your property and give you room by room suggestions for de-cluttering, home repairs, furniture arrangement, lighting, color, and art/ accessory arrangement. The goal is to appeal to a majority of home buyers and facilitate the sale of your home quickly and at the best price.

Decorating is not staging.

Unlike Interior Design home staging focuses on a quick, economical fix for the purpose of re-sale. Decorating is personalizing a property and staging is de-personalizing a property to sell.

TAX RELIEF PROGRAM:

Tax –reliefs are available for private customers, when using service work done at home-“kotitalousuähennys”. The tax deduction amount is 60% of the value of the work, up to 1,150 euro per year, per person.

Fortney Design will visit the property to determine the key problems that may hinder the sale of the property.We then provide a detailed list of "staging" stategies for the homeowner to sell the home faster.

Consultation Plus

We work hands on with the homeowner during the appointment to make the necessary changes in the rooms; picture hanging, furniture placement, accessory arrangement, etc. We provide a list of any additional items that might need to be aquired (such as new pillows, paint for the walls, etc.)

Full Service Bid

There is no charge for a complete Home Staging bid.The price depends on the size of the home and the amount of work required. We can do as little or as much as the home owner wants.
